World Veterinary Poultry Association (Malaysia)

The World Veterinary Poultry Association  (WVPA)  Malaysia was officially endorsed by the world body at the WVPA Bureau Meeting on 19th August 2013, in Nantes, France. The objective of the WVPA Malaysia is to provide a platform for all veterinarians and others who are involved in avian health, whether in university, research institutions, government departments, or industry. Through this Association, we hope to guide our members to foster collaborations with members of related interests worldwide. Our vision is to become a vibrant association for poultry veterinarians, the poultry industry and those interested in avian health.

Despite being newly established in 2013, WVPA Malaysia now has more than 250 members comprising poultry veterinarians, experts and academicians. For the past five years, the association has been enthusiastically organising many activities related to poultry health and production, including participating in events held by WVPA, such as seminars, conferences and calls for nomination of awards. In addition, WVPA Malaysia has vast experience in organising seminars and workshops in Malaysia involving speakers and participants locally and from around the world. Since 2013, WVPA Malaysia has been organising a two-day scientific conference biannually, alternating with the World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Malaysia in leading the conference. The association successfully hosted the 4th WVPA Asia Meeting in 2018, which attracted more than 420 registered delegates. WVPA Malaysia is highly committed and looks forward to organising the WVPAC 2025. A main organising committee comprised of members from academic, industry and government agencies has been formed to oversee the key portfolios.
