As the Organising Chairman of the XXIIIrd World Veterinary Poultry Association Congress, I am thrilled to extend an invitation for you to join us as a valued participant in this prestigious event, scheduled to take place in Kuching from 6 to 10 October 2025.

The World Veterinary Poultry Association Congress serves as a global platform for professionals, researchers, and industry leaders to converge, share knowledge, and discuss the latest advancements in the field of poultry health and production. With participants from around the world, our congress provides a unique opportunity for networking, collaboration, and exposure to cutting-edge research and technologies.

The theme for this year, “Sustainable Healthy Poultry For A Healthier World” underscores the critical and interwoven challenges we face in our professions. In a world where food safety and security are of paramount importance, the poultry industry is facing constant challenges and threats, innovation stands as the cornerstone of our future. This theme invites us to explore ground-breaking solutions and foster interdisciplinary collaborations that will drive us towards a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient future.

As we embark on this journey together, it is my sincere hope that this Congress will not only deepen our understanding of the complex issues at hand but also strengthen the bonds between poultry veterinarians, researchers,  nutritionists and poultry production experts. Our shared goal is to create a future where the well-being of poultry and the health of our food systems are safeguarded through innovative practices and collaborative efforts.

XXIIIrd World Veterinary Poultry Association Congress 2025

Dear Friends,

The main objectives of the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) are to organise meetings for studying diseases and conditions relating to the avian species; to encourage research in this field; to promote the exchange of information and material for study between individuals and organisations involved in the production, health and wellbeing of avian species and especially domestic poultry, and the safety of products derived from them. As poultry is already, for several years, the biggest source of animal protein for human consumption in the world, the importance of poultry production is high and will increase further in the coming years.

Looking at these objectives, I’m very grateful to the Malaysian branch of WVPA and its organising team for organising the XXIIIrd WVPA Congress here in beautiful Kuching on the magnificent island of Borneo. They have worked tirelessly for several years to organize a wonderful conference for you, something that would not have been possible without the generous help of the partners, scientific committee and sponsors.

Looking at the program and venue, it is very clear that the meeting will be of high standards with many presentations by experts, young researchers and students. This provides the opportunity for all to spread knowledge, to learn from each other and to network. We all need this, the young people of today are tomorrow’s experts! Your active participation in the sessions and discussions is greatly appreciated!
