Professor Dato’ Dr Mohd Hair bin Bejo obtained his DVM (1985) at UPM, PhD (Veterinary Pathology) (1990), at University of Liverpool, England, and post-doctorate training (Avian Medicine and Avian Pathology) (193) at PDRC, University of Georgia, USA. He is former Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (2012-2019) and Director, Putra Science Park, UPM (2020-2022). He is currently a Fellow, Academy Sciences of Malaysia (ASM), Founding Fellow, MCVS, President, AITVM, President, WPSA (Malaysia Branch), and member of Executive Board, MyOHUN. He has successfully commercialized MyVAC UPM93 (2005) and MyHatch UPM93 (2015) IBD Vaccines. His inactivated FAdV vaccine is under field trials.

He also actively involved on the development of COVID-19 vaccines. He was bestowed with several awards such as Merdeka Award (Health Science and Technology) 2018, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S.) (Dato’) (2018), National Academic Award for being the top national inventor (2011), WVPA Merial Innovation in Vaccine Award (2016) and Top Research Scientists Malaysia (2012). He has Scopus h-index (36), citations (4,426), intellectual property (13), international project grant (USD2.6 million), national research grants (RM5.5 million) and research grant from industry (RM6.5 million) as the Principal Investigator. He has successfully supervised 54 PhD and 46 Master graduates.
